Businesses want trusted advice and insightful information, not a sales pitch. It’s called relevance and it switches the focus from your need for a sale to their need to alleviate pain and get on with running their business. Amazing though it may sound, the chances of a business responding to something important to them is much greater than the chance of them responding to something important to you. Go figure?! Business owners and managers are strapped for time and resources and are juggling dozens of tasks every minute of every day. When something comes along that is relevant in that it makes one of those tasks - better, faster, cheaper - that's a message that gets received and acted upon. So keep it relevant when marketing to businesses. Sure it takes time but its time very well spent.  | |
